Rules

Pay to move up. Your price fades over 7 days. Highest current price ranks #1.

  1. Rank uses current price — the decayed total of confirmed payments still contributing, plus any labeled promotional backing from Cloppity. Each slice fades linearly from 100% to 0% over exactly 7 days. Higher current price wins.
  2. At exactly 7 days after confirmation, a payment contributes zero to current price. It is not refunded — it stays in lifetime paid history.
  3. There is no cliff, no exponential decay, and no hidden weighting. Money moves you up; time pulls you down — continuously.
  4. Top-ups start their own fresh 7-day linear fade from the moment they confirm.
  5. First placement is $10. Anyone can add more money later.
  6. The same video URL is always the same clip. Duplicates add money; they do not create a second row.
  7. If two clips have the same current price, the one whose latest still-contributing slice started earlier stays ahead. Clip id is the final tie-break.
  8. Client-side “success” does not count. Only a verified payment confirmation changes lifetime paid. Labeled Cloppity promotional backing can change current price without being a payment.
  9. New clips wait for approval. Rejected or disabled clips are not public. A clip with lifetime paid but zero current price leaves the live board until new money arrives. Current price can also include labeled promotional backing from Cloppity. That backing decays on the same 7-day clock and is not fan spending. Lifetime paid never includes it.
  10. Cloppity may provide clearly labeled promotional backing. That includes a daily $5 House Boost for one eligible clip, and occasional one-time events such as Launch Boost. Promotional backing is not a user payment: it affects rank, fades over 7 days, and shows up in activity as a system event.
  11. No likes, scores, comments, profiles, or recommendations. Current price is the only rank.
